Your conversation

The companion is AI, drawing on the complete September 2026 manuscript of Karma: The Path to Freedom. It may make mistakes. Source cards show passages from the manuscript so you can read the underlying text yourself. Page numbers may change in the published edition.

Questions and recent conversation messages are sent through OpenRouter to the selected model provider, together with the manuscript. We request providers that do not use prompts for training. Provider retention and processing policies still apply; avoid sharing sensitive personal information. Read OpenRouter’s privacy policy.

This site does not save the text of your conversations on its server. Your conversations and drafts are saved in this browser tab’s session storage, so you can refresh without losing them. They are normally cleared when the tab closes. “New chat” starts a separate conversation and keeps earlier chats available in the conversation list. Browsing other pages on this site preserves your place and allows an answer already in progress to finish. Starting or switching conversations pauses an unfinished answer; you can return to it and retry. If tab storage is unavailable, the conversation stays only in memory. An opening question is held briefly while moving from the homepage to the chat, then removed.

Keeping the companion free

A first-party, signed cookie identifies an anonymous session for seven days. We store hashed session identifiers, request times, usage costs, and success or failure status to enforce limits. Records older than eight days are pruned when a new chat request arrives. If network rate limiting is enabled at deployment, an IP address is hashed before it is stored. No advertising or third-party analytics are installed.

The free companion has hourly and daily limits. A paused or interrupted request may still count toward those limits. Conversations can include up to twelve questions before you start again.

The launch list

If you opt in, we save your email, signup time, and consent to receive the book’s launch announcement. Duplicate signups are ignored. Your email is kept in the site’s private database and is not sent to the chat model. We do not send a confirmation email automatically. The launch notice will include a way to opt out of future mail.

A companion for reading

The answers are interpretations of the book, not personal medical, legal, or therapeutic advice. The authors’ spiritual and philosophical views should be read as their views. The companion is not either author and does not speak on their behalf.
